This past weekend, we had a total of fifteen players come for our modern qualifier at The Games Capital!
After four rounds we had the top four cut of 1st Cody Willmott, 2nd Matthew Giudes, 3rd Jack Savage, and 4th Denis Mullins. Jack and Cody decided to drop leaving Denis and Giudes to face off for first and second place. It came down to eldrazi tron versus blue red blitz.
In their third game Denis was locked under a chalice of the void with one counter. Giudes used his thougt-knot seer to exile Denis's only answer, abrade. Denis continually dug through his deck, but failed to find another abrade to answer the chalice. Giudes managed to beat Denis with some help from a pair of matter reshapers and flying boat. Giudes won 2-1 with eldrazi tron versus Denis piloting blue red blitz.
